Which Bi-pin Bulb for 6 RCR123s?

Still messing with a 4C mag and want to give this a try. Any ideas what 6 AW protected RCR123a 750 mAh batteries will push with a Kiu socket and stock maglite switch? ~5 hrs run time on the bulb would suffice. Thanks!

3x18650 will be almost same length of 6xR123 but will give you much better result with WA1185

You can also try getting 4 Li-ion C sized batteries.

Or how about 3 of these A123 cells that I just read about for about half the price of those.

The system A123 cells are nice, but do not hold very much for their size... They hold less than 18650's and are larger. The major advantage is their safe chemistry which allows insane discharge and charge rates.

Yes, but this GE 347118 bulb I have my eye on pulls over 8 amps @ 11V. I don't think the 18650's will light it, no?

A WA1185 just won't be bright enough... Run/Bulb life not a big issue.

No, 18650s will be punished at that draw.

The A123s would be better.
