Here's what I've got: Surefire A2, G2; Fenix L2T v2.0; Arc AAA-P; Headlamps: Quad, Tikka XP.

What I use 'em for: camping, walking around the neighborhood, spotlighting addresses from car, emergency kits.

I want to add to the collection, for no real good reason.

Here's where I'm leaning: Novatac 85p - small, cool. OR go brighter by getting a G3L, taking the P60L out and putting it in my G2. Then I'd put a Lumens Factory ES-9 or HO-9 in it, have something bright, or maybe a Malkoff M60 if I can ever get one...

As you can see, I'm way off into the zone of "what do I want that's cool" vs. "what do I need"

Thoughts?

Get either a BOG Q5, Malkoff Q5, or even an OpticsHQ Q5 drop in. The Malkoff and BOG run first and second in my book, with the OpticsHQ and others similar to it running third. Put it into your G2 and you'll never need to look for another drop in for a while...or need a G3.

As for the Novatac - the best deal is the Novatac 85P for 99 bucks at Lighthound. I have two Novatacs - it's one of two lights I EDC.

My recommendation - get both the Novatac 85P and a drop in. You won't be disappointed.

I thought I might need the aluminum head on the G3L to be able to run a high powered drop in... then pop the lower powered p60L in the G2. Gene Malkoff said I'd get an extra 45 min runtime by running the G3. On the other hand, I'd be happy to save the cash!
