Email Dan Stern and ask his advice. I'm betting he'll choose the Philips over the Sylvania (which is a rebranded Maxxima).

From what I'm seeing on YouTube the TruckLite version of the Philips would be best as Philips chose the blue side with 6000K while I think TruckLite is 5000K but at nearly $500 each that's just way too much.

What video on youtube?

First- ignore headlight revolutions tests. They use a lux meter intended for halogen lightsources, which results in artificially inflated intensity numbers for all of their led test results.

I'd second reaching out to dan stern for what is the better lamp between the two led lamps you're looking at. Performance is one thing, I do agree that a lower color temp is preferable, so if they're close in terms of performance, especially the low beam, I'd personally choose the lower color temp lamp.

Stern will also be able to advise whether the koito H4 lamps he now sells will perform better in your application than either of these led lamps.

And don't assume you need high wattage bulbs for maximum performance. Dan stern is now selling an Extremely high performing H4/9003 bulb. It is extremely close in performance to the Osram 100/90w H4 bulb, which to my knowledge is the highest performing high wattage bulb still available.

Here's some comparison tests performed in a 2nd gen tacoma headlamp assembly so you can see some numbers.

Post #5460, with comparisons to several other stock wattage high performance H4/9003 bulbs and the Osram rallye 100/90w
