I got my G2L today and I have to admit, depsite the slightly purplish tint, I really like it. I was expecting dimmer but it really performs well. I'll see how long these batteries last before I fall completely in love with it.

This light as bright as my Streamlight Scorpion (incan version). So, I'm thrilled. :)

I agree with clipse. I've had my G2L for a few days and it has a pleasing beam and brighter than I expected. The tint does tend toward purplish but not obnoxiously. I was going to put this in the wife's car but maybe it needs to stay in mine for awhile. This my first SureFire and I really like the form factor and feel.

If you're playing around - I suggest you get a P61 and a box of SureFire SF123 batteries - if you want to be sensible use the P60L LED. For fun I still enjoying using the P61.

Is P61 Incan ? How much voltage does it take? How is G&P 9V incan bulb?

Yes, the P61 is SureFire's incandescent High Output Lamp Assembly for two-SF123A powered standard-series lights (6P/G2/M2/C2 etc etc) (You can also use Duracell DL123A batteries or other quality CR123A batteries made in the USA)

Hi Size15
Can I use P90 instead of P61? Would it harm to G2 lens?

Firstly, the P90 is powered by three-SF123A batteries and so is not suitable for the G2 (the P90 comes with the G3 though).

Secondly, the G2's window is Lexan (polycarbonate) and so excessive heat build-up can result in damage to the Lexan (warp, 'melt', deform etc). If you intended to use a high output lamp (greater than 100 lumens) for any period of time then a Pyrex (glass) window would seem to make more sense.
The G2Z and G3 Nitrolon bezels feature Pyrex windows.
