If you could have just one of these lights for free, which one would you choose?

These lights are commonly discussed here on CPF so I was very curious as to how you feel about them and which one you would want.

If you own one or more of them feel free to post how you like them.:grin2:

Voted for the Coleman spotlight, as I would really like one.

Almost voted for the 60X Lowes Task Force Cree. A great throwy beater.

Free for who? If it's a gift for someone else, I would recommend something other than any of the above.

I voted for the coleman XR-E spotlight... It'd be fun to play around with but its not very practical IMHO.

None of those really appeal to me much...

:green:AAA cells :green:
:sick2:proprietary battery packs :sick2::barf:
:sick2:Lowes task force burs and sharp edges:green:

Tough choices for some reason, but I went when the Coleman since it's the most unusual and seems like it would be a decent all purpose garage/backyard toss around light. The Taskforce would be a close second though.

The Coleman is a great light and I hope you get one. It is many times brighter than my Task Force with a lot more throw.

Just whichever one you think you would like to have (or at least try) for yourself.:)

I agree with your vote, as IMO the Coleman LED spotlight is heads and shoulders over the 220 lumen Dorcy, 170 lumen Craftsman, and 150 lumen Task Force, as it would be at least twice as bright as any of them, has a longer runtime than the Dorcy, has a rechargeable SLA battery, and is water proof.
When I was at Sears I had the choice of buying the Craftsman for $40 or the Dorcy for $50, but I chose the Coleman for $60 as it appeared to be such a better light than either of the other two.:grin2:

It sure is a great work light! The 2.5 hour runtime coupled with its extreme output and 1/4 mile throw is unbeatable IMO (Unbeatable as in compared to other LED's, as the N30 smokes it). I also like the fact that it doesn't have the drawbacks of HID. What makes it even better is that it is 95% water proof.:)

Still EDCing my taskforce on my belt for over 4 months. I have gone through countless batteries, switched to rechargeable "got boost in performance:)" and this week I started using Li-ion 18650 batteries in it" another huge boost in power:)" I'll get a R2 down the road:devil:. This light was fine during it's heavy usage in the first 3 months, then it started giving me problems:shakehead "probably dropped it way to much:whistle:" but just recently it stopped…. Not working, but giving be problems:grin2:! No more flickering or dulling down. It is just working great again. Even the clicky hasn't broken yet. I have few lights so this one gets used the most and I have defiantly put it though rough treatment. So I back it up:thumbsup:.

I am not a big fan of rechargeable flashlights. I prefer then to run on regular cells, and then I can use rechargeables or primaries at my option.

Also, I don't have much use for a big spotlight....so that left the 6xAA Craftsman or the Task Force. They both seem to be similar in size and function, so the deciding factor for me would be the preference for 2 C cells instead of 6 AA's.( and I believe that Craftsman is a rebadged Dorcy, which I haven't had much luck with )

So..for me form factor and battery type got me down to 2 lights....and then the muliti battery carrier issue steered me to the Task Force.

(plus I have one and love it ....so I may have been biased to begin with )

+1 Pretty much what GPB said.

Of the choices quoted, I went with the Dorcy. I am hoping that a local retailer that handles the low-end Dorcy models will be able to order in a 41-4299 for me, as I would like to test it out to see if it would be duty-worthy.
