White Lightning Epic Lubricant

its paraffin with an alcohol carrier. it makes a good semi-dry lube that repels water. I have used it for years, but only on my bike chain.

Paraffin is a wax.
Epic says:
The unique, no-wax, no petroleum oil makeup of EPIC allows the lubricant to run clean and smooth over long distances and varying terrain.
You sure you aren't talking about the older formula which I also have that comes in a white bottle which you have to shake?

The Epic formula doesn't say Shake before use on the bottle.
I think it silicone based cause thats what the website says- New EPIC All-Conditions Lubricant is a wax-free, medium-weight, silicone based formula that is well suited for any and all conditions and any and all bikes.

I stand corrected! this is a new product from the same folks. I assumed it was updated packaging.

Yea, I saw a site that had the white bottle and it said can be used on Knives to repel water etc...
The Epic Blue bottle came out in 2005 I think. That's when I got my bottle at the bike store.
When I got my Jetbeam the threads were squeeky and tight. I applied some of this last night and what a difference, smooth and quiet.
