Should be receiving mine this week from brightguy.com. $18.95 for the "basic," and $20.50 for the covert model (please confirm price before you order).
Note: You may want to take a look at comments in this board or on the discussion board on the Photon site. I found the "reviews" AFTER I had placed my order (for four of them!), and am a little worried about the switching system (perhaps the bugs have been worked out by now). (I ordered blindly because I love my other Photons.) Caveat emptor!
There must (I hope) be some people out there who have had only good experiences with their Photon IIIs?
I agree with most people that the extremely long delay in switching modes is a major mistake but the other attributes more than make up for it. I especially like the dimming feature while the flashing modes are I think just about useless. I would have sacrificed some size (but I empasize "some") for it to accomodate larger batteries.
Although I like the ARC AAA's power, the small form factor of the P3 overwhelmingly makes the decision to be my carry-around keychain light.
Either you make it bright or you make it light. I will take both.
There`s a guy on Ebay selling P3s in Dutch auctions for $16 (normal) and $17 (Crystal). He also sells P2s for $9.25. Not bought from him yet but I possibly will soon. I need a new P3 to see if they`re all screwy or not- plus he also has Batonlights which I don`t have yet.

No, I don't know all the reasons the Arc is preferred. Could you clue me in, please? Thanks a lot!

It has a longer high brightness run time and the batt replacement cost is much less. Don`t misunderstand me...I like the Photon 3 as well...but if I could only have one or the other I would have to go with the Arc.
I just finished my runtime on the Photon 3, in less then 15 minutes it drops below the Arc in terms of brightness. Then until the Arc dives at about 6 hours it is brighter. The Photon 3 ran about 10 hours on new batteries. It is now on my battery excel spread sheet at http://www.uwgb.edu/nevermab/battery.xls
I am with KenB and probably a lot of people, the Photon has it's place and is a great little light, but if I had to choose 1, thats right just 1 LED light it would be the Arc.
