Top Secret! So secret even I don't know where I am
Who actually manufactures the Titanium brand CR123A batteries?

As far as I can figure out, Amondotech is the principle supplier(?).

I have some of these batteries, and I note that there doesn't seem to be any indication of either the manufacturing date, or the expiry date. This is not particularly good as you don't know how old these batteries are!?

Meeshu - I'm assuming they're OEM Panasonic like their AA NiMH's, but it's only an assumption.
Amondotech is where I was reading about the AA's.

I wouldn't assume they the Titanium CR123 are Panasonic cells. They seem to have performed poorly on the CR123 shootout, not what I would expect from a major battery manufacturer.

Hmmm! So, the manufacturer is still a bit of a mystery. Presumably Amondotech would most likely know who the manufacturer is. But I don't think I'll follow this up with Amodotech, as I'm not overly concerned about who the manufacturer is. I'm more curious than anything else.

I also noticed that the Titaniums did not perform quite as well as many of the other brand of CR123's in the shootout. For that reason, I'll be using the Titaniums only in small(er) lights that use 5mm (or similar sized) LED's. Luxeon's and similar lights will be powered by better performing CR123's, as indicated in the shootout.

Yeah, I could be quite wrong about that. Apparently their NiMH rechargeable AA's are Panasonic, but I haven't looked into other types or sizes from them.
When I eventually have a need for 123's, most likely I'll buy SF's.
