Who Would Replace Driver (& LED?) in Quark Ti 123

Anybody know a modder who will modify a Titanium Quark 123 head with a more powerful driver. I don't know if the LED has to go as well but if so - so be it. I like my Quark Titanium 123 X 2 head but the 123 head is so under-driven that it is too green and not bright enough for an R5.

I have a spare 123 X 2 body so I'd like to have an LED and driver put in the 123 X 1 head that could run on 2 X CR123 primaries (or 2 X RCR123 if necessary but that is my second choice).

I'm sure Milky could do it but of course he has an impossibly long waiting list. Are there any other really good, dependable modders who have modified Quarks for people? I've also heard other members have done it themselves but I would never mess with my Ti Quark - all thumbs and no solder - in fact virtually no tools at all in my home.

I know I've read about somebody doing this. I wish I could remember who?

That sounds perfect. Do you know how I would get in touch with him?

Thanks. I pmed Ti-Force. I would imagine this is pretty time consuming so he probably doesn't have the time but it's worth a try.

I bet a lot of CPFers would like a more powerful driver in their Quarks. One of the modders who does this pretty full time as business venture should consider getting into it. Of course 4Sevens didn't put Quark heads together to be an ez mod so it might not be economically feasible.

Ti-force actually did a write up on this mod. I think you would be able to pull this off yourself without much hassle.

All you need is some strap wrenches to disassemble the head and a decent soldering iron with a semi fine tip. You'll be reusing the factory led on star so you don't need to reflow solder anything.

Just buy the sb 1.4a driver and have a crack at it.
