So I'm curious, other than Malkoff and Peak and Surefire, who is making flashlights in the USA any more? Obviously a lot of parts will be sources abroad but I'd like to focus on companies which maximize USA made components and assembly. To ask even more, any of them using high CRI LEDs?

To add to the list:

  • LRI
  • Maglite
  • Pak Lite
  • Princeton Tec
  • RTG Inc
  • Underwater Kinetics
  • Teklite
  • Brightstar
  • Fulton Indoh

Most of those manufacturers are in my database. Maglite offers a high CRI option in their Spectrum lights.

EagleTac is not made in the US!

Yea I was just reading up on it [emoji28]

Spoke to soon

I edited my post
No worries.

Also, by the way, I'm not 100% that all LRI models are assembled in Oregon, although certainly some are or were.

If anyone can confirm or refute, to clarify further, please do.

There has been speculation on that, both ways .... I'd consider them as unconfirmed
Is that right? Are you kidding me, at the prices, good God!

ADD: With custom knives, I have been very suspicious of many makers, ones we all know, that I will not announce as I do not have any evidence.

Are the Maglite Spectrum Warm LEDs high cri? I actually just sent them a message asking this, though its far too soon to expect a reply. Also, in reply to archimedes, I was just on the LRI home page and they claim all models except their Proton Pro are made in USA. I actually REALLY like their microlights and have a number stashed around. Just poor white color options compared to current technology.
