[UNRELATED THREAD SPLIT OFF INTO NEW THREAD -- moderator]

May I hijack this thread for just a moment?

I have a question in regards to HID kits installed in housings designed for incandescent bulbs.

What about that is "unsafe" other than the potential to blind oncoming drivers?

Is that the main concern?

Re: I design LED bulbs! Hello!

Isn't that enough?

False sense of security. The often vastly higher foreground light usually high in blue due to a high CCT kills any dark adaption and worsens the ability to see and discriminate objects at reasonable distances. The high foreground light also pulls the eyes focus point downwards again impacting distance vision.

It's not always the best way to get a question answered.

I have a question in regards to HID kits installed in housings designed for incandescent bulbs.
Then search the forums. We have an excellent "Google Search" box here.

https://www.google.com/search?q=hid+kit+unsafe&sitesearch=www.candlepowerforums.com is a good, quick way to start.

Is that the main concern?
Keep reading those threads found in that quick search.

No. It's rude and disruptive. If you have a question different from the one being discussed in an existing thread, you start another thread. I've cleaned up after you this time; please don't make me do it again. And part of that cleanup has been removing the unnecessary format changes you made to your post. Please don't mess with the formatting (change font color, etc.), all it does is make your post harder to read.

To answer your question, read the search link Alaric has provided, or go directly here.
