I LOVE my E2E, and my Novatac suits about anything I need.
I have tried some of the cheap "flame throwers" and am less than happy!! The Lowes 150 lum. cree 2c for example.
But I am having this overwheling urge to buy an M series!!! Not even particular which one, as long as it is bright!!! You have no idea how hard I have been kicking myself for not catching the M6 that got S T O L E N in the B/S/T!!!!!!!
The M3 is cool, nice and small, decent brightness, the M4 looks like the BOMB, really small, but really bright!! The M6, well, need I really say anything?
I even made a special trip to Gander Mountain tonight to see if they had any on clearance, no luck!!
I am a sick man!!!
Why do I need this light? What am I really going to do with it to make it worth buying?
HELP ME!!!! PLEASE!!!!!:paypal::crackup:

Okay.... I have an M6, and I recommend you get one too!

You never know when you'll need a bright light that outperforms most Production lights on the market. Many HIDs are brighter than an M6, but the M6 gives you full brightness the instant you hit the tailcap switch. No need to wait! :D

I have always been a fan of the SF Type III coating. Most Type III flashlight coatings are plated thinner, some even thicker. But SF Type III is always what I tend to judge an HA coat by. And no better way to familiarize yourself with SF Type III than with the M series of lights.

I'd suggest one with a turbohead, either an M3T, M4, or M6. I've had all three but sold all except the M4. The M6 is most impressive, but also the most expensive to buy and feed. I'd suggest starting out with the M3T, aee how you like it, then decide whether or not to upgrade to the M6. If you find a used one and later decide you don't like/want it, you should be able to sell it for what you paid for it.

You need to ask yourself this question, no one here can answer it for you.

I can't!!!! It might be nice when fishing. I have 80 acres that is heavily wooded that I spend time at, it would be nice for that being able to light up anything that goes bump in the night!
It might be overkill in the house, but a lot quieter than a gun going off, and don't have to deal with the cops for shooting someone? I can just blind them instead!

But it is of little matter now, as it seems I will be getting an M4 in the next couple of weeks :oops:
The original owner is now just waiting on me for:paypal:

My wife is going to skin me alive:sssh:

Well I see you got the M4. I purchased a M6 last week, should be here soon. Let us know how you like the M4.

Why do you want one? Because the M6 is just the coolest looking flashlight around.
Why do you need one? Because you, like everyone else, need a high performance flashlight.
It's the key to your happiness and you only live once, so go for it!!

Since you have big property, I would say go for it. Its diff to wanting one if you live in the city. But sounds like you will get some good use out of it. If its a need rather than a want, go for it.
P.S I'd rather the M6 over M4, the extra 150 lumens will be noticeable.

At some point will end up getting an M6. It's ineffable.
You may as well get one now and get it over with.

Looking at some of the afermarket bulbs out now, I don't think I will need an M6, and I like the size/form factor of the inline cell bodies better.

But yes, the M6 is the COOLEST of that series for sure!!!

I do live in a city of sorts. It's a rural area, two minuets and I am on a gravel road heading any direction I would want to go.
My property is 90 miles away, the nearest neighbor is a half mile away!

Sounds like you would get use out of it. Your only going to buy it once, buy what you feel is right. If you have your heart set on the M6 and get the M4, you mite regret it later on. Just take your time in choosing, its a big investment in anyones language.

I think you'll like the M4. I had three M6's over the course of the last 4-5 years, I ended up selling all of them and kept my M4, which I've had for the last 3-4 years. Personally I like the form factor of the M4 better, even though it doesn't offer quite the performance of the M6. I will probably end up with another M6 eventually when I have a spare $400 to dispose of, but until then the M4 suits me just fine.

You are not supposed to be pointing the bezel at you're hand!!!

Sorry, bu like I said, with the aftermarket bulbs it will exceed the output of a stock M6:cool:

This has probably been covered in another post but is there a solid, mainstream battery solution for the M6 . . . . as in rechargeable? I thought I saw someone talking about 3x17670's and an aftermarket lamp? Is this what the "hardcore" folks do or do they just "swallow" and load it up with a six pack of 123's everytime?

Lumens factory 700 lumen HO-M6R lamp on 6 AW RCR123 cells.

Too bad you can't get 3x18650's in that bad boy. You'd have something like an incan version of the Storm. How does the M6 compare to the Storm anyway? I've done searches and found some beamshots but never a shootout between those two.
