Those B-Lites were some seriously well made flashlights. Kel-Lites too, but the Maglite allowed the beam to be adjusted on the fly instead of using a washer and that self cleaning clicky switch meant no more whack-a-palm required.

Megala, I believe the "pro" model has those features, or perhaps "pro plus"? I dunno which one. I bought the 332 minimag when it first showed up at my local box store that's so big the flashlights are in a different zip code from the groceries. I ripped it out of the package without taking note which model it was called but it has high only.

that military right angle flashlight (with interchangeable gel filters) had a big clip so you could clip it on your ejection harness and shine light on the panel with both hands

I’m a civilian pilot, so no ejection harness. I did clip it my shoulder harness once. That bent neck’s best feature was it wouldn’t roll away in turbulence.
