I see a sale at Botach, put aside the Good, bad, worse or even @!¿(=']! Service I read about this guy, the 15% discount thru Feb28 looks tempting, and comparing, with discount a SF 12B at 29.75 (2.47 ea )or Energizer 2 pack at 3.4 (1.7 ea) I think I´ll go for the energizer, on his site says that his energizer batt. are the same quality but with old labeling since energizer is rebranding them as "E2" to compete with Duracell ultra.

Is this so ? or is the Duracell better ? Maybe I´ll risk it and ask for 20 batts of energizer at 34 bucks and forget about batteries for maybe a whole year

What do you think ?

Thnx

In my opinion the Duracell are just a bit better than the Energizer, but not worth the difference in price. I have used Sanyo, Energizer, Duracell, and Duracell Ultra's. For the money the Sanyo's are the best deal, but also have the shortest runtime. I am using Energizers mostly now since our work bought 60 pair during the 2.99 sale (for 2 packs!) at Botach last x-mas.

Thanks Brock, I was just searching the forum for similar posts and came upon one that says the energizer has a thermal cutoff lower than the energizer, but if used for less than a minute continuous, I wouldn´t see any difference.

BTW 1.99 for 2 paks! wow that´s great about 1.5 ea. i think 1.7 isn´t bad either(compared to Wmart anyway !), I think i´ll risk getting screwed at botach and order some. Do you know of specific holidays, seasons or dates when botach gives big discounts ? planning to order about 10 or 15 2packs.

Thnx again for your mail

I don't know of any sales, but the 15% off is a good deal right now. If you feel lucky, actually batteries shouldn't be a problem, but again I don't buy from Botach on principal anymore.

I've tested Duracell, D-Ultra, Energizer, Sanyo, Panasonic, erm... Sony...Lots basically.

The Thermal Fuse is only really important for the 12PM. I experienced the longest constant-on times with Duracell. No difference with the D-Ultra though (but you can't get fresh new Duracells that aren't Ultra anywhere I know)

For the 6V/9V flashlight, I have used Energizer with no real difference seen. I could tell a difference with the cheaper batteries. They don't seem to have that peak brightness-whiteness...

This price offer would not tempt me to use Botach unless I was there in person and saw the goods on the counter before I gave them my credit card! (I've read it's "LEA etc" only allowed there in person??)
