Will a TLE-300M on 4.8 V NiMHs work OK?

Hi!

I have a 4D mag with the Terralux TLE-6EX (4-6 cell version) drop-in running on 4000 mAh NiMHs.
This combo works fine, but I would like to try the TLE-300M upgrade.

Will my 4.8 V NiMH work with this upgrade?

How long burn time can I expect?

It will work. I have run a TLE300 on a single LION (D cell). I could not notice any less output compared to higher voltage (2 LIONS)

I measured 2 Amps with 2 x LIONs , did not measure with single cell.
