Will changing bulb from 55W to 35W increase arc intensity?

Just wondering if the 35W HID bulbs has a shorter arc gap which will bring about a brighter arc intensity and shorter arc. As you know the 55W auto ballasts are really in the 45W range to the bulb.

Just got some a pair of 55W (seller willing to mix 4300K and 3000K). If so I will get some 35W to play as well.

55W & 35W bulb has similar arc gap, you might need to look at the bulb to decide if the gap is any different.
I looked at the 55W vs 35W & it was hard to tell if the arc gaps are different.

I suspect 35W Philips bulb might have a shorter gap, as I got 40% more lux when switched to a Philips bulb,
but I didn't investigate the gap when I had the Philips lamp on hand, so this is just a guess thinking back.

the 75W bulbs have had a noticibly longer arc gap.
