Just wondered really...been toying with the idea of a HP30 as a high power headlamp for hiking...but really feel that neutral white would be the way to go for outdoor use. I'm tired of CW. If I knew what their plans were, I could wait...

(In another thread I am toying with HL55, which is neutral white, but I'm not sure about the beam pattern. Perhaps a bit too floody. For hands free route finding I NEED something with a bit of throw).

Any Fenix buffs out there who make contact with them regularly? I'd love to know if they have any further plans for their current HP line of headlamps.

The HL55 beam is very balanced. I wouldn't say it's floody but not even throwy. I find the HL30 beam to be more throwy.
The HL35 is also more throwy, if you don't mind the 2xAA format and fewer lumens, it's a really good light and it has red LED and a moonlight mode: IMHO two useful features the HL55 doesn't have.
