I'm thinking about buying the 125 MW red pulsar off WL. My friend told me that red has more burning power than green, is this true? also whats the difference between executive and evolution series green lasers? and why arent blue lasers in the 100 mw range?

I just want this for match burning, popping balloons, burning tape. Also to be used in my forensics class to determine the path of the bullet.

light is light is light is light. Green is more visible because the human eye is more sensative to green, that is all. Also, if you want a visible red beam outside of darkness, you're gonna have to go with >200mw (I have a 200mw red and it's not visible with anything beyond a nightlight or two, even then it's not very obvious.

blue is low powered because of sheer cost to produce blue laserlight.

Executive has large beam but better divergence (smaller dot at longer distances). Evolution has smaller beam but worse divergence (more burning power per cm^2)
