Does someone know the current draw for the standard 200 lumens lamp assembly delivered with the Wolf-Eyes 9AX ?

I want to compare the current draw with the HO-9, wich seems to be more powerful visually (1,55A).

HO-9 is closer to 1.7A on a pair of 18500s. it's 1.55 fresh off the charger with RCR123s.

HO-9 is a nice step up from a standard WE 200 lumen lamp.

Thanks Mdocod, I should have mentioned that measurement was on slightly used WE 150A rechargeables (18500)

Thanks guys for explanations.

I've putted the HO-9 in my 9AX.
It's true I see a difference in brightness when use with 2x 18500 compared with 2x RCR123. Much bright and whiter too.

The standard 200 lumens W-E LA is installed in Surefire M2 with 2x RCR123's.
Safer for the cells, because drawing less current than the HO-9.
Beam is yellower, but hotspot is very big ! I like it.

With HO-9, I had done a runtime test, 20 minutes before cells need charge (3,08V after 20 minutes).

How about the runtime with W-E 200 lumens + 2RCR123's ?
Similar to HO-9 I suppose.

Now I'm waiting fresh news about the new Cree modules from Wolf-Eyes, to find its place in my D2AX !
I hope really the regulation will be flat when use with single 18650 cell.

Flash, I have the WE Cree here, havent done a full 3 hr runtime test but the regulation seems good to the naked eye (but the eye can be deceived). All on a single 18650.

You have the new module (3,7V-13V) or the old (3,7V-6V) ?

PTS Mike says soon he'll receive new modules :

- Cree 700mA or 1000mA for D26
- Cree 1000mA+ for D36.

Voltage range for both : 3,7V-13V.
I'm wainting these new drop-in, hoping regulation will be excellent.

Just wondering using the WE 9V LA on RCR123's would be a noticable benefit over the LF 3.7V HO4? Or would i be better off getting an EO4 for my sniper?

Keeper, I would suggest an EO4 over the WE 9V only for reasons of runtime and safety. The EO4 is an improvement over the HO4 and noticeable, but it would be up to you if enough for another purchase. The WE 9 is a wider beam so it may be better for your purposes.

Thanks Glen, probably won't worry then, as either would mean more purchases when really it isn't necessary at this stage (too much else to buy). Just was wondering as i often read of Surefire rechargeable options being a P90 LA and RCR123's and since i had the LA sitting around thought it might be an option. I will await for you to acquire stock of the new Cree drop ins
