I am thinking about getting one of these for for my brother in law who is a police officer based on this video I saw (http://www.luxolite.com/blogs/resou...f-eyes-angel-c-a-great-compact-led-flashlight)

I know that the "C" version is more powerful and smaller, but his normal light is a rechargeable Streamlight that charges in the car, so he isn't already carrying around a bunch of spare CR123s. And a single CR123 is $10 around here.

"AA"s would be much more readily and cheaply available, and since it's for a backup light, he shouldn't need a ton.

So my gut feel is to go with the AA version - anyone think I'm off base?

Thanks for your input - especially if anyone has used either of these.

Best way to save money on CR123 cells is to buy online, in bulk, and be sure the cells are Made in America. (This is more for safety reasons than patriotic ones.)

If he's not willing to buy batteries online, then the decision is an easy one. Get him the AA version in that case.
