160 lumen wooden flashlight with poor heatsinking that looks like a toilet paper holder. Does it take exploding lithium batteries? This is the perfect when TSHTF light. It'll cause it to happen.

Wooden Flashlights are nothing new on CPF. Here is a real Classic Neoca Wood

:welcome:

Right! PEU's work has been appreciated on CPF for awhile.

See LED_Thrift's Post earlier in this thread...
strike
..1.... Certainly not in the class of PEU's work.
...
And My post...
At first glance of the title, I was expecting something in the lines of PEU's beautiful handywork. Not even close.

I really don't think the idea is a bad one (other than heat sinking), but it really does look like a toilet holder or kitchen utensil to me.

you can certainly hide it as such:p

Bamboo probably wouldn't be a bad idea...but its harder than it looks, you probably have to use drill bits for metal to work on bamboo, plus its fairly fire resistant:grin2:

Speaking of wooden lights, now nice would this be if in stained hickory?

So here is an artist trying to make a product that is the opposite of most flashlights. Lets hotwire it and it can burst into flames haha

augh! if only they'd rotate that image every so slightly more.. we'd then know what emitter it uses!

Wooden Flashlights, Ohhhhh, that must be the new
"SuretocatchonFire" Brand. Brings an Old meaning to the word "Torch" now don't it???

But, it's so useful! When your batteries run out, just light it up and you can use it for yet a few more minutes :)

Edit: Ooops, didn't see the date on there :) Yet it still is nice concept, but just not for me.
