Wrapping battery to reduce jiggle

On some Inovas there is a little too much battery movement. Would it be harmful to wrap a piece of Scotch tape on the batts to cut down on the jiggle?

I've allways used a strip of oragami paper, specifically the rice paper. It has a very smooth finish so the batteries slip in and out easily, and it is thin enough that things never get jammed up. And, unlike tape, it can stay in the barrell of the flashlight from battery change to battery change.

putting paper in the light, vrses something on each battery, lasts well past battery changes. because of the curvature, generally the paper stays in place, and you just forgedaboudit.

Be sure to write your name and address on the paper so you can reclaim your flashlight if lost or stolen.

Being the ignorant fool that I am I just wrapped a bit of scotch tape around my AA's to stop from jiggling in my Fenix L2P ... and it's worked well. No issues when charging as well.

This has been asked and discussed before. I don't think that anyone has come up with anything negative with tape.

I always put paper of some sort around my batteries, and discovered a fringe benefit: if you have a cell leak, some of it stays in the paper versus dripping to the head or tail of the light.
