wrong light - olive vs. black - what should i do - send back or keep

Darn!!

I ordered a Olive LOD from Fenix-Store.com and just recived a black one.

I ordered it for a present to give this weekend. Now I do not know what to do.
I do not really have time to ship it back and get the right one!!

If I wanted the black one would have ordered the new model for basically the same price.. I am really pissed about this!!!

I ordered Olive because I figured it would last better on keychain then Black -is that correct?
Do others have problems with Fenix-store sending wrong lights?

I've never had a problem with Fenixstore sending the wrong thing, and I think most people here have had very good success with them.

If you are really concerned about it, PM matt@4sevens (I think he's the same guy as matt@fenixstore, right?) and he will no doubt take very good care of you.

Personally, I'd just keep it and gift it....tell them that the scratches from keys are battle scars and are really coooool! :twothumbs

I would just do as plained. Give it as a gift. Running an online biz myself I can tell you that mistakes are made. Sure Fenix store would make it right but thinking that the person getting the light would be just as happy with a black light. In fact most people like black better.

I once ordered a P2D Q5 when I meant to order a P2D Rebel100 version.

Because they were using the P2D Rebel 100 advertising pictures for the P2D Q5... after they stopped selling the Rebel 100 version.

When I read the confirmation email, I thought I just clicked on the wrong thing... I called and canceled, then went back to find out they didn't sell the Rebel version anymore.


It's really too late now. =\

I don't know if they still carry the olive one, I think they're just selling them until they run out of stock now.

You can PM or email them and tell them your story, and see if they'll exchange you the L0D for a LD01... When you can get an olive replacement for the gift L0D, so you can give the black one as a gift for now.

I don't think the olive will show less wear, the olive looks gray to me.

Some people are put off by the olive color for its military implication. I think black is a classic finish and would make a great gift.

I got a D10 instead of the Ex10 i ordered....but fixed it in a jiffy..
