I'm not too perticular about color but ive already got a black one so other colors would be prefered. I'd like complete lights but if i have to i'll take bodies, heads, and switches as long as they come in complete groups so all i have to look for is optics and sammiches.

As far as misc stuff I'd like some R123's If somebody has a few they dont need. Protected or unprotected. Also i could use some sammiches. 3w, and something that can be used with 3.6-4.2v Li-Ion cells.

I've been off of CPF quite a while but it's time to dive back in a little bit since im working from home now and have a little bit of extra monthly income.

Post in here what youve got or email me

Ok, here are some mongrels that I have. One sports a prototype tailcap that was never put into production and an electroless nickel plated bezel used for testing laser marking, complete with misspelled Fanatic--shows as Fantic. Truly a collector's item.
:lolsign:

The other has a completely solid tailcap, no attachement holes at all and sports EN plated bezel and head.

No major scratches in either one, but could use some sanding and polishing, if you want them shiny.

Asking price: $50 for the pair, postpaid:

If you don't want them, then I'll offer them to anyone else who might, so let everyone know here, please. Thanks.

Shane, it's really good to see you back on the boards. I've wondered what happened to you!

PhotonFanatic, as you may know, created the Groovy! light, which was the successor to the CNC-123. The Groovy! was designed to have a seamless body and a rounded bezel edge, among other improvements, compared to CNC-Dan's original light.

I'd recommend you buy these collector pieces from PhotonFanatic or inquire about purchasing a complete Groovy! light from him.

Welcome back. :)

Troy

I'll be backup on the pair if Hallis doesn't want them. I assume that these are just 2 empty bodies only that require a lens, reflector/optic, light engine/sandwich, and a kroll to make a working light, right?

good to see ya back...

got a CNC 123 that's been hard anodized with what looks to be a MM+ RH2 sammie. sweet little light!

Please PM with email for pic. if interested.

thanks,

And with round bodies to boot. Do you have any other parts or just these bodies? Either way i want at least one of them. If Avro wouldnt mind taking the other one. I'd like the one on the left.

Troy, Good to see you again. I'm glad i wasn't forgotten. I remember the groovy. Im just totally in love with the little cnc 123's though. And since the price has come down on them quite a bit since last i checked i figured id pick up a few.

Oh and Avro made some awesome planes. Definately champions of the Delta wing. The Vulcan is one of my favorite bombers. Which if im not mistaken is your avatar and not an arrow ;) ;)

Shane,

Yes, I do have some other odds and ends, tailcaps, battery tubes, etc. I also still have some cosmetic blem blue, black and HAIII CNC-123s also.

And here's a dinged up gold plated Groovy that you might consider, first with a close-up of the ding in the bezel (yup, I dropped it myself):

Yours for only $60, postpaid.

Nice, That is a groovy if im not mistaken isnt it? By odds and ends i more ment optics, clickies, o-rings, and whatnot. I might be interested in a blue one. Do you have round and hex bodies? All the ones everybody has offered were round but the black one (which i got from you back in the day) has a hex body. Which i like a lot. But as i build up my collection would like to have one of each.

Hallis, welcome back and thanks for leaving me the other one! I'm just looking for something inexpensive to tinker with because Arc LSes are waaay more expensive to get and tinker with. :D I'll e-mail PhotonFanatic to get the details so I don't clog up your thread.

Oh, but you are mistaken. :lolsign: That plane in my avatar is in fact the rollout Arrow. Pity we had such a short-sighted gov't at the time, otherwise there'd be a few left now.

I'll take one or both @ $25 each if anyone backs out. I've been looking for just the bodies for awhile. I don't usually follow this part of the forum. Please PM or email me if available.

I've got 2 brand new BatteryStation 900mAh 3.7v RCR123's. They are still in their original package/uncharged by me (bought too many for a project).

I'll sell them both to you for $10 shipped. Let me know by PM if interested. (bought them from here)

Yes, the gold one is a Groovy. I do have the lens, O-rings, optics, Kroll, etc. that work in the CNC-123 and Groovy. I do also have some blue and HAIII CNC-123s with the octagon battery tubes--they are $40 each.

Maybe we should take this to e-mail instead? fanatic (at) photonfanatic.com

PM sent about the batteries. And confinued the negotiation with PhotonFanatic via emails. Looks like i might be picking up 3 from him :)

Hi, Hallis! If you're interested, I have an HAIII Nat CNC123 that has the following:

*LDO>800 driver built by PhotonFanatic with a (I believe...) TYAH luxIII
*Cut down McR18 reflector
*GID O ring behind the lens for "after-glow"
*Body has been bored out to accept RCR123's
*Extra AR lens from Flashlightlens.com

The HAIII is in excellent shape with the exception of some VERY minor scuffing on the knurling of the tail cap where I had put on and taken off a tight fitting pocket clip. The beam is flawless from the McR18 reflector; cool white, wide spot smoothly tapering to a nice side-spill...IMHO, the perfect beam for EDC purposes.

Now the negative: the Kroll switch has some flickering issues. Sometimes it comes on and stays on perfectly, and other times it comes on dim and flickers, and yet other times it'll come on perfectly and then flicker. The Kroll probably just needs to be taken apart and either cleane or replaced.

At any rate, between the body, LDO>800 driver, McR18 reflector and spare lens I've got about $110 wrapped up in the light. Taking into account the minor scuffing and the flicker issue with the Kroll, I'll let ya have it for the "Welcome back!" price of $70.00! If you're interested you can either say so here, or drop me a PM. FYI, the LDO>800 driver was designed to be used with RCR123's. Regular CR123's will push it, but at a noticeably dimmer output level. Keep me posted, and again, welcome back!

Regards,
PJD

Hallis...PM replied! If you can't rectify the flickering problem, just send it back and I'll refund your money! Either way, just keep me posted...

Regards,
PJD

Ok ive got a HA-NAT, Blach, EN Plated, Blue, and i believe a bare Aluminum 123 already here or in the works. Anybody else have anything else?

Hi Hallis & welcome back! :)

Unlike you, I've been getting less work & am reluctantly forced to offer up one of my favorite lights that has done faithful nightstand duty for the past couple of years & which has one of the smoothest & whitest beams of all my lights. It's a CNC123 head with IMS17 reflector, Lambda MiniPro light engine (max 3V), 2xAA knurled body sections, Kroll tailcap. The head has one green tritium in between the fins, one glow-in-the-dark o-ring around the bezel & some GID tape around the head & one of the fins. Unfortunately, I don't have any 123 body sections & there's only the guarded tailcap which is used to fit the AA bodies to the head. The MiniPro LE, AA batteries & Kroll switch occasionally need to be tweaked to the right position after battery change but once that's achieved, the light works perfectly each time.
I don't know how much went into all the parts & considering it's 'user' condition, I hope US$120 shipped is not too much to ask for. :candle:

About the only thing i use AA sized cells in are my remote controls and my Mag85. Most of my other lights are of the CR123 size. And all of them can accept 3.6-4.2v rechargables. Your light is really really nice looking but isn't really what im looking for YET. I might end up picking up that little beauty but want to see if i can find lights with 123 bodies on them. Most specifically a Red one if there are any floating around. I am fairly sure they were made.

If nothing else i might pick yours up and swap a few parts around with the Bare light that im getting from Fred.

I'll keep you posted.

Thanks Shane. No problem but I'm going to post it for sale soon anyway.
