Re: WTS: D25Cvn V3 Ti - The Micro Searchlight (Must Have)

Thank you. Do you have an expected arrival/delivery date for you eagletac order?

Yup mid of this week. How reliable is that estimate I am not sure as I am not given a tracking number. There are middlemen before me...

Re: WTS: D25Cvn V3 Ti - The Micro Searchlight (Must Have)

Got mine today. XPL 5700 dedome. Sent my XP-G2 V2 in for the upgrade. This little light is insane. Throws as far as my throwers did 3 years ago, and it's not even meant to be a thrower haha. Does get REALLY hot fast, so of course as Vinh says, be careful and don't let ignorant people use it. Mine always starts on moon light, so it's not likely going to be able to get to turbo while in my pocket though. Really an amazing little light.

Edit: I like the throw of the dedomed, but for this light I actually think I would have preferred dome on.

This may have been asked already in the previous 8 pages, but does it function like the original UI? I mean tightened head = H/strobe and loosened = multi levels?

Thanks,
Dan

No. Head fully tighten. Full click to turn on and half press to switch modes.

So no strobe function and loosening the head doesn't change the UI at all like in the original UI? Thanks in advance for the explanation. Also, did I understand the runtime on high to be 2 min max? Lastly, when can I get one :)

You are correct with your UI assumption. On fresh charged cells the light will get hot in 2 minutes and should be turn down. You can place an order whevere you want. I hope to ship in a week.

Re: WTS: The Micro Searchlight (Must Have)

Are these direct drive? What's the estimated output/lumens of the XPL 4000k version? Any beam shots of the xpg2 vs XPL or even just by itself?

Kevin, glad you like it. I ordered the same tint, but with dome on and am really looking forward to it. But now I'm just hanging out and hoping Vinh's shipment will arrive soon. Oh well, I've still got two other VNs due in this week.

Re: WTS: D25Cvn V3 Ti - The Micro Searchlight (Must Have)

Hi Vinh,

I have this light in the Nichia 219 version and I have to admit I'm a little disappointed in it.

If I were to get your driver mods to this light, would the modes work correctly on the IMR 16340, or not so much? My real complaint with the light is that it works exactly like I expected it to on a Surefire primary but when I dropped in a 16340 I pretty much got moonlight, turbo, and turbo (or that's what it seemed to me.) I definitely prefer to use rechargeable cells so it doesn't really fit my needs as it is.

I was thinking of selling it on, but then I saw this thread and thought that maybe I could still salvage that purchase... although your V11R is in my pocket right now :)

thanks!

Re: WTS: D25Cvn V3 Ti - The Micro Searchlight (Must Have)

Vinh,

To upgrade a V2 to V3 is it ok to leave the current XML2 pdt in or does it need to be one of the LED options outlined in post 1

LED can stay. Driver upgrade only is fine.
