WTS: PD35vn

Re: WTS: PD35vn - RCB 2

I really do love the cool tint it puts off. Played with it for a while last night. May of annoyed the gf a bit lmao. What 18650 do you guys recommend when it comes to the 2500mah vs say 3100mah. And is button top the way to go.

I would be using an IMR or INR cell, mah depends on use,if its not for long durations and an easy enough option to top cell back up then either. 3100mah would make better sense for run times as its as good as another 20% run time. Either way a couple of cells,so if out you can swap to a fresh one for back up🙂

I have been EDCing a pd35 for a few months now. Great light. Just got these, one dedomed and one domed. Great mods!!!! Both U3's.

Much better that "stock" ones.

99……….They work fine with flat top or button.

Bet those are nice! I am still EDCing my PD35vn triple XPL. It's my favorite floody beam for up-close work.

Re: WTS: PD35vn - RCB 2

I love this flash light more and more every day. I just put some high drain 18650 in instead of the 18650 I got from radio shack and it's even more amazing. If you find vinh lights and are debating on buying just buy! You will be happy! In the last week I have ordered a couple already and can't wait to see the others I ordered till then I have been enjoying this one.
Here is a pic with high drain 18650 on turbo. Looks even more amazing than the pic shows.

Re: WTS: PD35vn - RCB 2

My vn XML-2 version has very little jump from 4 to turbo. Does a high drain make a big difference in this light over a Panasonic 3400 protected?

I was just looking at Vinh's listing for the UC35vn which is almost identical and he said high drain required for max performance. He said the 3200mah Fenix battery would be about 85% power. I would link to it but it's hard from my phone.

The new 18650 battery I put in after my cheap RadioShack battery i had is a high drain battery and made a big difference for me 😃

Re: WTS: PD35vn - RCB 2

Interesting. I hadn't seen the uc thread yet. What's a decent high drain to try. I haven't ever thought of trying them so I haven't researched out what to get. Any links? Thanks

Re: WTS: PD35vn - RCB 2

Sv........ I had fenix 3400's in all of mine. Put in a high drain tonight and seemed the same. That was from memory, not side by side. In my stock one, as with the modded ones, there is not that much difference between hi and turbo........(4-5).....

On the modded ones 4, is about as bright as 5, on the factory light. You can run it on 4 forever.

Re: WTS: PD35vn - RCB 2

I'd sure love to try one with a triple Nichia, but just can't spend that much. Nice work on these!

Showed your list of flashlight to a couple of colleagues of mine vinhnguyen54, and one said directly when we come across the PD35: "Order one for me, now!" 🙂

That triple Nichia 219 looks pretty amazing. Anyone with some beamshots or feedback? Too expensive for me but keeping it on my wishlist!

I don't have Nichia emitters, but I really like the triple XPL version. I wrote some feedback earlier in this thread about it. It's great for close-up and medium-range work and is my EDC.
