Vinh, does this light need an unprotected cell for max lumens? It's bright but like Felmarcorp said, no difference at max setting. Just curious, doesn't bother me.

I'm not sure if this helps, but I do see the difference in the top two levels while using "high drain" protected. If needed, I can give more details when I get home.

Wow so about 370 meters and 1450 lumens. This will shatter my view of my new Nitecore EA4 I just got which I thought was pretty good. Can the Nitecore EA4 be modified to stats like your pd35 mod? I am guessing no since it only uses AA batteries.

Sorry if this has been covered already. Will this light still step down before getting to hot to damage itself?

I'm also curios about the same question with the PD12vn but I'll ask that over in the other thread.

I think the short answer to that question is that Vinh's lights should only be used until they are too hot to hold. You are the step-down feature for these lights :thumbsup:
