Update.. The HDS Ti Trit bezel has been sold separately. The HDS Rotary with Sapphire lens is still available for $325 shipped.

Details about the various light models

The Eye10 TiC is a rare gem, but the body is a bit larger in diameter than the others.. it has 6 blue trits.. No tailswich, just the control ring. The pocket clip is screwed in. I really like screwed clips

The Eye10 Tic body is bored for older 18350, newer fatter ones dont fit, nor do protected 18350 fit.. it does fit protected 16340, with a little extra space around the battery than in a V11 or V10

The second from left V10r w the TiTrit ring is probably my favorite, it has a very pink sw45 with a very tight hotspot. The reflector is a good match for the LED, because it originally came w a small LED (XP-G) so it has a small base hole in the reflector, which avoids a shadow in the spill. It does use a tailswitch, basically the same as a V11r..

comparing the two on the right, a V11r and a V10r, the main difference, other than the LEDs is just cosmetic.. I tend to favor the form of the V10 over the V11

the V11 w sw45k is my favorite LED, but the beam is not perfect, it has a good tight hotspot, but the spill is a little dark about halfway out, because the reflector is made for a larger LED

by contrast the V10 w 519a has a better beam, the LED is larger and makes a larger hotspot and the spill has less of a shadow, because the LED fills the base opening of the reflector a bit better.. The reflector has a large base hole opening, originally used with XML2 which is a somewhat wider LED

main cosmetic differences are the control rings, V11 is knurled, works very well but aesthetically the control ring style on the V10r is a little more elegant, to my taste

lastly the light on the far left is a Niteye, modified to triple LED.. so, the beam is more floody, not typical hotspot and spill as from a reflector.. The control ring texture and body knurling are a bit chunky.. It has a screwed in clip that I favor... see if you can make out some details in the pic to notice cosmetic differences

btw, about batteries, both V10r and the V11r use 16340, they should be protected button tops as the light has no protection, they also work with CR123a.. and there is an AA extension available for those lights, that allow the use of AA, Eneloop, and 14500. Aesthetically the extension matches the V11r better.. it looks like this they are very inexpensive, I have one available.. I mostly dont use extensions, because I prefer the shorter body, but the extensions do create some doomsday flexibility, to use AA..

I dont use AA because the output is limited to about 90 lumens.. but it does create another battery option

the Black Niteye triple, first on left, can fit unprotected 18350, but requires the operator to monitor battery voltage manually as these lights dont have built in LVP.. it also works w protected 16340, but protected 18350 dont fit, too long, the body wont screw back into the head

There are also some output differences between the two niteyes vs the three Sunwayan.. The max output on Sunwayman is a bit lower (so longer runtime). I can give specific lumens if desired

HDS differs in that the tailswitch is electronic, not mechanical, shorter actuation travel, but no momentary On at halfpress, that the Sunwayman have.. HDS has a more advanced driver, with LVP and other Low battery warnings to help the operator know when a battery change is coming up..

otoh, none of these lights offer a voltage check function, it requires removing the battery to test voltage

The HDS dial though smooth, actuates 24 individual steps, it does not use a magnetic dial like the others.. and its not smooth ramping like the magnetic rotaries..

HDS uses unprotected 16340 LiIon, or also can use CR123a

Nice writeup! One suggested addendum: I think the HDS can be programmed to have a pseudo momentary when you press and hold from off. It's one of my favorite features, along with the nice double and triple click quick access modes.

High CRI Sunwayman V11r, and V10r, Niteye Eye10, and Eye10 Tic (very rare)

a couple of them have very nice Trits!
