Sold/Expired WTT: Brass Hanko Trident brand new from latest run

Just to mention this.
I have communicated with this person (Pat Hasbrook) via emails on the purchase of this Brass JH Twisted trident.

Prior to payment, he replied all my emails promptly & when we finalize the price, i made payment the following day.
He acknowledged my payment shortly & that was the last time i heard from him.

I am in the midst of filing a claim with PayPal to get my money back.

Sorry to hear that bro.
Almost 2 weeks after received of payment and still no news from him?
Definitely a scammer

There are a few red flags going on here for sure. If I see a WTB, WTT or WTS from a new member or low post count and I am interested in the offering, I usually go read through there posts.

You say the name he used was Pat Hasbrock, in his intro post he claimed to be Carter???

A quick Google search of that name and Cali returns a Interior Designer? Did you google the email addy supplied to you? I always do that too.

Anyways, I hope you get it all squared.

I know. It was after he went MIA that i noticed the difference in name & also the design company..
I was over anxious to get my hand on a Twisted trident & it got over my head to check before paying; lesson learnt..

Now just hope that Paypal buyer's protection works out for me.

Don't know if you're still looking but a Twisted Trident just went up on our Facebook group www.flashlightfanatics.com

I frequent other forums such as high-end watch forums for Panerai, IWC, etc. In their WTS or WTT, they will typically place a hand written note by the item pictured showing current date along with their forum name. It's just an added security measure. Perhaps that may be a practice we can incorporate here.

I truly hope that you get your money back-

Some update on my paypal claim:
After filing the dispute & escalating it to a claim on the 3rd March, i submitted a series of messages to Paypal & have been waiting since.
Yesterday, i received an email from them saying that they have ruled the claim in my favor. I have gotten the money partially credited into my PP account & the others being credited into my CC..

Thank god for the positive outcome of this claim & i have learnt a couple of lessons from this episode.

I am glad to hear that you were provided with some solution.

Glad that everything works out for you.
On some knife forums that I went to, they will post all the particulars (including FB and IG accounts) of the scammers to warn other users
