Hello!

A long-time lurker on the forum, and a fan of Vinh's work, which I follow on YouTube.

I simply had to sign up and comment. :)

That light is incredible! The work and effort you put in, shows no bounds. Amazing!

Possible names for the light?

Icarus?

Or

Arpina 'Rising of the sun'

Haha. True! At some point would it be classified as a laser? Lol
At some point it would be classified as a weapon

Re: X65vn2870 100,000 Lumen Light

if you think about it - 100,000 lumen is about at the edge of what is possible today.
It takes 8 batteries at 30+ amps each - to deliver that.

if I remember my LED physics classes from 30+ years ago - the absolute max possible is about 300Lm/watt
(if someone has better numbers please chime in I could be out of date)

the XHP70 is about 150lm/Watt - so someday a 200,000 light might be possible - MAYBE
once you approach the physical limits of ASIC's(LEDs) things get (quantum) weird.

Sometimes threads just die. There are like 19 pages on this thread. That's longer than most ever go. What there is to say has been said.

Until someone posts updates, beamshots, user experiences, etc, that is.

I know why it's quiet here. The boss (Vinh) is away and we are all working double & triple shifts, trying to earn enough to buy these big lights when he returns! LOL :D

Yeah, this thread is far from over. Once he comes out with his final modifications and beam shot video there will be some fresh wind in this thread. :poke: We've got 7 Pages without a final product. That's pretty sweet!

This without doubt is the most powerful and ingenious LED flashlight ever made. It is in my bucket list now!

Update 3/22, 8:44PM PDT: i have decided my flashlight goal is to own the finalized version of Master Nguyen(R)'s X65vn2870.

"X65vn2870. Until then, X65vn Spec 2."

When the circuits needs its own Copper HS it's The Real Deal ;-)

Well now. When a boss makes a breakthrough, there will always be the ..... . . . . .

Reading this thread reminded me once again why I stopped what I was doing a long time ago.

Vinh Nguyen is a humble genius.

Waiting in anticipation for the final result. If he cant do it, nobody will.

This is a tough one.

BRILLIANT!! Beautiful .... :clap::whoopin::clap::touche::mecry::goodjob:

Still very curious to know the ongoing status of this project, Vinh.

And to remind you that you promised to keep the price on this item below the $500 mark, right?
