So I'm just kinda curious....I've seen XP-G's and whatnot upgraded into the venerable Muyshondt Aeon but from the looks of it an XM-L LED would seem to fit nicely in place of the XR-E due to the opening in the reflector. I'm not a modder but I'll pay for services if the upgrade is a significant improvement  and a brighter, more floody beamed Aeon would fit that bill for me. So anyone that mods and is familiar with the Aeon, what are your thoughts?

Put me 2nd on the list - with a neutral XM-L

Don't get me wrong, I have a neutral Aeon now and I'll never get rid of it. The tint is the best I've ever seen out of a neutral. I just think XM-L would be a better beam if your looking for more spill and brightness, assuming it would work.

You will then change the true nature of that light, which was a small thrower. Also, I'm not sure the reflector would have a good focus but I guess you would then get rid of the donut beam...

Well anytime you do modifications your more or less changing the nature of a light? I know that only by testing can we get a definitive answer but I'm curious what a experienced modder with knowledge of the Aeon and the XM-L would guess as far as how this mod would turn out if tried?

I have an Aeon at the Milky Labs for a neutral xp-g mod at the moment, but i also have (2) BitZ lights at Milky's Lab both being modded to xm-l's. I am sure Scott would know what is possible with the aeon....Robert.
