I am trying to understand the difference between the two LED's. Is the HD more floody and the HI more of a thrower? Or the other way around?

Thanks!

If I am not mistaken, the dedomed led is more throw and less lumens.
The domed led is more lumens, less throw.

HI = High Intensity: Dedomed. If I am not mistaken.

HD = High Density. Domed. If I am not mistaken.

I'll take LEDs for $.02, Alex.

Same situation as with XP-L HD and XP-L HI. The XHP35 HD is a DOMED emitter. It actually has a touch MORE output vs. the HI variant. The XHP35 HI has a FLAT SQUARE SILICONE WAFER on top of it protecting it instead of a dome like on the XHP35 HD. This is to put most of the output of the emitter in the CENTER(hot spot)of the beam profile instead of spreading it out a touch more evenly as the regular DOMED emitters do. The HD's are the "standard" domed emitters the HI's are the flat square wafer thrower emitters.
