Hi

I know the version 4 is. I just sent a couple off to owners of that light. You don't need a whole spring for it just a piece of one.

Anyone have outdoor beamshots of the SST-90 vs. the SST-50?
I do. They are also linked in the member beamshots section in post #4 in this thread. 😉

And finally, are there any options for the 3-mode boards in terms of what level they start at
No idea whether it is still the same drivers these days, but the 2.5A regulated 3 mode driver on my SST-50 is Lo-Med-Hi, while the direct drive 3 mode driver on my SST-90 is Hi-Med-Lo.

hello
have you tried to build a triple xpg drop-in ?
Could it be regulated white a single 18650?
thank you
🙂

HI

I have not as it takes a little more than just the leds and such. There is a member on the forum that does a good job on triples. As for your battery question the answer is yes.

Thanks

I'm interested in the SST-50 direct drive single mode. Will it run at 6v? If so, how would it compare (output & runtime) running it with two primaries vs a single AW 18650-2600?

Thanks,
Jimmy

HI Jimmy

There is a little difference in brightness running 2XCR123 since you are forcing 6 volts but not a whole lot of difference when you consider the difference in run times.

You will get close to twice the run time for the 2600mah 18650. There might be 50 lumens difference but not much.

Dave,

Can you make me a p60 xpg module, OP reflector, 3 level Hi/Lo/Strobe modes, also a perfect beam and hotspot with no donut hole? Do you have the R5 or S2 bin xpg yet?????? I plan on using this with a single AW17670 and want the best regulated driver for this battery. The capability to safely use 2 primaries would be nice to.

Yeah, A lot of us light nuts would pay top dollar for some hard driven S2's:twothumbs

Hi

I can make you one if I had the right driver, I don't have a high/ low / strobe right now. It has been on order for awhile but still has not shipped so who knows when.

I do not plan on carrying the R5 as I have stated here a few times. With there only being about 12 to 15 lumen difference between the R4 and R5 I doubt I will get any. I opted for what I could buy at the time.

As for S2 well lets just say I have a few feelers out there but with most R5 being back ordered until January who knows.

As for the no doughnut hole that is not a problem as the XPG reflector I use leaves a nice almost ring free and is doughnut hole free beam that is a nice mixture of throw and flood.

Re: XPG modules plus SST-50 -90 & MCE/P7 P60 dropin Modules for Sf product (part 4)

The R4 will do. Make me one with three levels, H-M-L modes, and this would be fine as long as High always comes on first.

The sequence is actually low / med / high but it has memory so actually the last level used is the level it will come on at.

Re: XPG modules plus SST-50 -90 & MCE/P7 P60 dropin Modules for Sf product (part 4)

Dave, quick Question:
Why do the P4 specifications state "6v (14v?)" which is it?
