Hmm.. silver with black texturized rubber in the center? Blue paper card board in the packaging?

There are a whole series of lights from that company. If only I can find the web site...

Sounds like:

Obtained from a French-origin mailorder catalogue about a month ago. It`s not bad for a one-LED-er and should have a good run time, but the beam is quite ringy and the "wide area flood" setting with the pulled out head is not that effective. Kinda big too, for just one diode. Interesting though...

I forgot, I already took a picture of this light, and a beamshot too.

Meters in at 28.6 peak beam candelas. Yes, I did find my light meter again

Yup, that's the light. Only the one i have is completely rubberized with a slightly different texture, but it's most definitely the same light. The reflector is pretty interesting too, I've never seen one that was quite that deep. I'm haven't opened it up yet except for the battery compartment, but it looks as if an LS would fit right inside the head and the reflector might actually work pretty well.

Chris M,
you're website is looking pretty good. I like the detailed pictures on them.

I found this on eBay. (FLASHLIGHT) Looks the same?

And this guy has quite a few other cool looking stuff, but not sure who he is. He has that 4.5V 3xAA D-cell sized battery container flashlight, a Tikka lookalike but with 5 LEDs, a Zipka lookalike, a 7 LED headlamp with brightness control and a 5 LED flashlight about the size of a MiniMag, running 2xAA, but with the look of the X5.

Dammit, I'm drooling.

Hi Chris M., InTheDark-

do you feel that this light has enough oomph and area lighting action to be a tent light?

Many thanks - michel

Btw steelwolf - the guy on e-bay is carrying what I think is the whole product line for Cyba. I have recognized several of the lights. He seems to be the only one (w/ youngmit on e-bay maybe?) to have it available around here (US) - I think.

Found a new flashlight that I haven't seen before, and I don't even know who makes it. The only writing on the side was small white lettering saying "Xtreme Light" or something like that. It's a small (about the size of an E1), has a rubberized coating, and it takes 3 AAA's. It's pretty interesting because it's a single white LED light, but has a very deep reflector around it to give a more focused beam. And if you pull up on the front part of the light, a clear tube slides forward and converts it into a type of lantern. Anybody ever seen one of these? I couldn't even find it on the LED musuem website

Picture?

Try scanning it if you don't have a digital camera and you have a scanner. I've scanned a Colt ACP!

I finally looked at the light again, it is exactly the same one that Chris M has, same rubber coating and same ridges, except it's all black.

Camisdad,
This light actually puts out a lot of light for a single LED, i'd say it's as bright as my ARC-AAA turquoise. I guess the reflector really helps. But when it's in lantern mode, the light is pretty useless. Since the LED is directional, most of the light still goes forward and very little of it comes out of the side where you'd want it. I've bought a lot of these type of dual light setups, but I still haven't found one that actually works well as a lantern and a flashlight. The best thing I found is just to reflect a flashlight off some light colored surface or foil, that works better as a lantern than a bare bulb or led.

I think saaby picked up one of those coleman tent lights, the one with the remote control, maybe you can ask him how good those are.

Are you looking for just a tent light or one that can be used as a flashlight too? So far the best tent light I've found is a LS without the optic. Is gives off a nice flood beam like a flourescent that you can reflect off the tent, but makes a good flashlight too when you put the optic back on.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">Right now it's no good. It's waiting for final assembly. I've run into yet another problem, this one is just a tiny little one that is easy to fix--I just havent done it yet. I really like Energizer folding LED for tent light, buy some flat metal from your hardware store (I got mounting plate things in the hardware section) and glue it to the back, then use a strong magnet on the outside of the tent to hold the light up. Of course the Coleman LED tent light mod is better, but you probably don't have time for that, nor are there written instructions...yet
