You Just Know Your A Flashaholic When......

When you debate buying a flashlight in lieu of a new graphics card for your computer, just because you have an unused spare battery lying around.
Of course you know if you buy that light for your spare battery you no longer have a spare battery, which means.....you need more batteries too.

When buying celing LED bulbs for your apartment, you get annoyed by the mix of warm white, and cool white LEDs.

(The ones that are currently installed in my celing.)

Really should switch that one cool white LED bulb out for a neutral white one.

Which one of our members invented this?

When seeing this warning on the DarkSucks website makes you smile:
Alkaline Battery Warning

Alkaline battery damage is the #1 cause of failed lights. Alkaline battery damage IS NOT covered under warranty .

(Alkaline batteries are evil ,in my opinion.)

Alkaline batts are the Orcs of Middle Earth. Icky grotesque objects of stench filled death. (to our lights)

When you buy a flashlight,
and Really like it, so you then purchase
a couple *MORE* of them,
"just in case" something happens . . . .

The last few years have been turbulent for us. A couple big moves, and changes. I knew I had "a few" Nitecore D10s somewhere.. it was my favorite light before 18650s were common, and I had bought some extras. I just found them in a moving box. I have EIGHT!

It's snowing in NYC, I'm watching cars go by my house and comparing headlight tints in the snow…
Yup, I drove in that. 😡
Went to work. Always liked to look at the single bright spot of Winters in NYC.... Sanitation Department was always quick to do a fantastic job of clearing the expressways and the main roads of snow and ice. Decades of experience. They can go to Hell! I prayed to the Good Lord above to keep me and my vehicle safe. He's the only reason why I safely made it to work! NOTHING was plowed nor salted! Frickin' Mayor said "We are aware the storm is coming."

Well, being aware and actually doing anything about it are two very different things! Seriously, Grand Central Expressway was thankfully nearly completed deserted of vehicles. The few on there, including my vehicle? No one was doing over 20mph. maximum! The one damn thing that the City always gets right.... They screwed it up last night! First time I can recall that happening without the city shutting down all roads to everyone except police vehicles and emergency responders. First time in decades. Yeah, Mayor Idiot Adams demonstrating what he's good at. Absolutely nothing! Best way department of Sanitation can make-up for this screw up is going down to City Hall and tossing this absolutely worthless excuse for a Mayor and a Man into the back of one of their trucks. Then, carting him off to a landfill far, far from NYC.

Honestly, the only thing it takes to get elected as Mayor or Governor of New York is to run with a "D." next to your name and every brain-dead moron will just vote for you, literally based only on that "D."

When I only had 5.

I can't even say how many 36 lumen Maglite solitaires I have. A WAG would be 25. When they went to the less throwey 45 lumens I gobbled up all of the 36's I could find at WalMart. That and the 85 lumen aaa minimags.

Several years ago, Wal-Mart had the 47 Lumen
Maglite Solitare (1xAAA) on Clearance Sale
for $ 7 each ! In various pretty colors, too.

I bought (ahem) a few of them . . . .
😎
