Your MEMORABLE Outdoor Pics!

Ol Glory once again stretching out to a stiff wind this afternoon.

Yesterday I enjoyed a visit by one of my favorite neighbors while relaxing on my Walkstool (things that just work) in a favorite desert foothills wash a few blocks from here. Far from rare, but ALWAYS memorable. I screwed up and didn't get 'the shot' I wanted, but as is often the case, my trusty Canon triumphed over my own incompetence and still brought home a 'memory' for me to enjoy.

I was about to ask where that previous figure of Ronald Reagan was located (figured I wasn't supposed to know), but now I'm betting it might be answered right in the spot my eyes shouldn't even be looking at this photo. That's in 'drive-by' country for me - I've never even slowed down driving past, but if that's where RR is, I wouldn't mind a photo of me next to another great 'RR';-)

Actually, I took the Reagan statue pic in Budapest's Liberty Square.

"Leavin'" work, and with that out my windshield - yeah - oh yeah🙂
You get what I was seeing being an NSX owner. Swerves baby. Swerves and curves.

Where I live the days are shortened and often the sky is gray. It's enough to bring on a meloncholy mindset. And each year at about this time I get in that mindset. Standing in a parking lot today the gray sky, chilly temperature and the fact that it seems to start getting dark at 2pm combined with the sounds of the breeze had me feeling a bit blah.

Then suddenly a wind gust kicked up and the leaf covered pavement seemed to come alive. Leaves were dancing and some got caught up in mini tornado-like gusts. I thought "hey, I need to photograph this". Easier said than done with an iPhone but here's three I thought were ok. At least enough for me to remember the smile it put on my face.

This one has a large group dancing like at a KC and the Sunshine concert.

This one was leaves twirling in a circular pattern like square dancing at a hoot-n-nanny.

These were doing a wave like a crowd in a football stadium does.

Great description, bykfixer!
