Your MEMORABLE Outdoor Pics!

Took this about 35 years ago relaxing at our beach rental in Ensenada after a day of tuna fishing

bykfixer, do you remember what time of year you took the picture of the bird? Was it in a wooded area or an area of open fields or an urban area? I'm curious because I am trying to figure out what species it is, and the additional info could help.
I found it in an old fakebook post from August 2013 so I'd say about then. It was near a mixed pine/hardwood forest next to the James river in Richmond VA. A wooded urban area with some swamp land mixed in. We figured it to be a male juvenile pine warbler.

This was the project.
They built a bridge beside the old one in the photo and tore down the old one that crosses the river.

This was one of the cranes there.

Two seasoned vets discussing the good old days next to a gravity sewer line rebuild.
I oversaw utility rehabs and other duties there. And was the official project photographer for the company I worked for then.

Update on Penny the stray dog.
I had indicated she was taken to a shelter. The idea was keep her 10 days to see if the owner calls in to take her back. We all pretty much figured that wouldn't happen.

Today was day 10 and she is so nervous in that shelter with all of those dogs barking and such that the shelter is going to place her in a foster home for 30 days to see if she'll bond to people again. They say she's just very fearful right now so before she can go up for adoption she needs to be re-acclimated to people.

Outter edges of hurricane Debby approaching.

A liitle breeze and a little rain gives us a preview of the next couple of days. It'll be a tropical depression or storm by the time it reaches.

Thanks for the update about penny. Hopefully the fostering goes well and she can be adopted.
