Took this about 35 years ago relaxing at our beach rental in Ensenada after a day of tuna fishing
I found it in an old fakebook post from August 2013 so I'd say about then. It was near a mixed pine/hardwood forest next to the James river in Richmond VA. A wooded urban area with some swamp land mixed in. We figured it to be a male juvenile pine warbler.bykfixer, do you remember what time of year you took the picture of the bird? Was it in a wooded area or an area of open fields or an urban area? I'm curious because I am trying to figure out what species it is, and the additional info could help.
Is that a giant shopping cart? It's not authentic unless it has one bad wheelView attachment 65530
This is what bored fellows do in one small town I worked at once.
Hopefully it's significantly weakened by now.Outter edges of hurricane Debby approaching. View attachment 65670

A liitle breeze and a little rain gives us a preview of the next couple of days.
The big issue for some is the thing moving at about 7mph right now. Lots and lots of rain for them.Hopefully it's significantly weakened by now.
Thanks for the update about penny. Hopefully the fostering goes well and she can be adopted.View attachment 65665
Update on Penny the stray dog.
I had indicated she was taken to a shelter. The idea was keep her 10 days to see if the owner calls in to take her back. We all pretty much figured that wouldn't happen.
Today was day 10 and she is so nervous in that shelter with all of those dogs barking and such that the shelter is going to place her in a foster home for 30 days to see if she'll bond to people again. They say she's just very fearful right now so before she can go up for adoption she needs to be re-acclimated to people.

Awww, those eyes.View attachment 65696
Got this from the shelter today.
She's going to a foster home (maybe while I type this) and if things work out will soon be up for adoption.
