Hello I'm new here, sorry for the bad english.
Some guys have measured the 3x5mm led's and the 1Watt led in the yukon HL, the 3x5mm leds needs almost the same current as the 1Watt, so what does that means??? It dont matter withs i turn on , the battery will be emty in the same time??? Thanks Marc

The burn time is pretty close between the luxeon or the 5mm settings, but the difference is more in how focused the beam is. The luxeon produces a more focused beam, and the 5mm leds produce more of a flood beam.

Yes,that from the beam i understand, But the burntime from the 5mm leds is +-120H and the 1Watt +-40H (on the site from princeton), so is this right or not, because if they use the same current it is not possible i think???

The PT advertising is wrong. You should get 3 - 6 hours of useable light from either setting. With my HL the three, 5mm LEDs use a little more current than the Luxeon. The flood of the three LEDs is very nice, however.

The 3 little LEDs in my Yukon HL run around 3 days ( not more than 72 hours) with Panasonic 2100mah Nimh.

I might be too conservative with my "useable", alkaline, rating of 3 - 6 hours. I'll bet good NiMH, like yours Emilion, will provide much better runtime. Not being regulated, the HL is, somewhat, voltage dependant for brightness.
