I do NOT have the TN31vn to compare to. Though the people that do say the TN31vn slightly out throws the K40vn by smallest margarine. The K40 however has a larger hotspot which allows you to see more of what's out there, which IMO is more useful given the throw is very similar. Also, the K40vn is a little smaller so it is a little bit mor portable.

If Wayne hasn't sent the TN31vn as yet, he will let you swap your order for a K40 and if you have some spare cash, you can get a nice flooder or flood/semi thrower as well. Or you can just get all of them like some of us LOL
