Pelican Pocket Sabre 2c to LED??

I've recently acquired a new Pelican 2c incandescant light and am curious what I can do to improve the overall everthing of this light. I want to go to an led with an overall higher throw and spill. I want it to be a Luxeon III or V. I want AA rechargeables or more let me know.
