About 2 and a half years ago I bought six Surefire E2e's with the Hard Anodized finish for issue to my guys (they are Hazmat/Medical ERT's). They replaced two 3D cell Maglights that the guys never carried. Four months later I bought 6 more for the team at our Semiconductor Wafer Fab across town but their's were Satin Gray finish.

Yesterday, we had one of the guys from across town fill in for one of mine. I briefed him on what was going on and noticed he had his E2e clipped to him pants.

I was quite surprised as the finish on his Satin Gray E2e after 2 years is well worn. My guys' two and a half year E2e's with the HAIII finish still looks like new.

Was it worth the extra money for the HAIII finsh? absolutely!

i think SF's HA is pretty good

vs. the HA on my Inova X5T HA, its still good, but not as good as SF's HA

my Inova X5T HA has light marks on it, nothing major, but its not "like new" - like new

but i still prefer Inova X5T HA over the regular X5T ... just for the cool looks of it :)
