newbie first mod

Well, evidently I am not the only flashlight junkie around! However, you guys are far junkier than I knew one could be!!

There are some bad..s lights on this site. I thought I was hip when I discovered surefire lights a couple of years ago lol.

Anyway. I made my first mod. A mag 2c to 3/c123 and a 6D krypton bulb.
What a difference! and the 123 batts are pretty old too.
I still havent sputtered the reflector yet though. Thats next.

whats the next step up mod? nimh or luxeon ? or both

Is it a lot brighter than the stock setup?

go to radio shack and get a KPR 112 bulb for the 3x123 it's overdriven and brighter than the 6D bulb.

I'm going parts shopping today. I will stop by radio shack and pick up a kpr 112 bulb.

What bulb would be best for a 2d to 3c mag mod or a 3d to 4c mag mod?
