Yup! There was at least one thread asking about it... one person commented that the finish was terrible and flaked off. The LED is a modified version of the TLE-5 to run on a single cell but I don't think it was confirmed that it was the newest version with the R-bins.

Yes, i too remember this thread from a few weeks ago. The conclusion was if you want a 1w luxeon AA light go for the Fenix L1P, not that light.
