what kinda fish can i catch in nortern ga in winter?

going to maybe go fishing in the am i never fished in winter before that i recall ill be fishing on lake lanier from shore so what fish should i go for?also what kinda bait should i use?i prefare fake bait caus ei can afford it lol

Get them worms growing!
It's not hard as long as they can breathe and have a nice organic soil that isn't dried out.
There should be fish out there.
Try for bass, or check with your local live/fakelure baitshop to find out all the info.
Double check on your local fishing licensing laws too while you are there.
From the shore should work as long as you can cast out far enough.
Otherwise, a small boat with oars, or coverall waders would be the better move from your shore.
