I was away at the Air National Guard this weekend, and wandered over, after hours, to the Base Exchange (BX) as I always do.
I find the flashlight section and what do I see? Surefires for sale! :wow:

I forgot the names of the two brands so I won't attempt at making up names, as to not insult the purists.

This young airmen was looking them over, and I noticed it was rated at 60 lumens...so knowing I had my QIII on me, I said to him, "You trying to figure out how much light it generates?" "Yeah." "It's roughly equivilent to this..<pulling out QIII.>"

In short, I used my sales skills to upsell the Surefire, telling him how it is a highly regarded superior flashlight, etc. After lots, of consideration, and thinking it over...he bought a Surefire based on my testimony.

I wanted him to get an LED light, but no LED there was worthy enough in my eyes. He wasn't looking for anything overly bright, anyways.

Of course I told him about this site!
