Glowing LEDs

Well, I couldn't sleep last night, so like every flashoholic, I started playing with my lights. I took out my gerber trio and after flashing the room for a bit I turned it off. I then looked at the LEDs and noticed that they were still slightly glowing, kind of like glow powder or something. It would glow brighter for the first couple of seconds, then it would get dimmer, but it was still producing a little light after a minute of haiving it turned off. I only notice it when looking directly at it at night.

I was slightly confused at first, like I didn't belive what I was seeing. After confirming that I wasn't seeing things, I tried this with a lux I and it did the same thing.

Does any one know what it is doing? I am assuming that the phoshor is still lit up for some reason.

I would assume,like tv's still have a slight glow to them after you turn them off,Probabbly like the same deal,there is still a little energies charged or something,Dunno what I am talking about :huh2: lol

It's the phosphor in the emitter
