Bought this 24 LED 3D Mag lookalike at Repco a couple of weeks back on special. It's slightly longer than the Dorcy 3D and all aluminium finish. Wall thickness is similar to the Dorcy.

Interesting thing it has an individual sm resistor for every LED rather than just one large resistor. Current draw is 540mah on the "Poweer" batteries it came with.

Puts out heaps of light, but of course as with most multi LED lights it isn't a thrower. I got it mainly for long power outs to light up the room which it does really well.

As a test I ran some very el-cheapo (ACME) batteries in it. After 27 hours continuous it was still brighter than my Ghost2. I imagine alkalines would double the runtime.

Anyway I'm happy with it and serves the purpose I got it for. But who makes it? There's no brand name or nuthin on it. I dunno, these cheap Chinese products should at least put something on them. They might be famous one day.

Wow, nice, multiple resistors is a big win. How much $ was it?

Ok just dropped in some 9000mah nimh D cells into this thing and current drain has gone up to 600ma so I guess that's 25ma per LED. I might jam another resistor in series to drop it a little or is 25ma safe enough?

It was lower with the ACME batteries Lol.
