Seen at http://www.led-replacement.com/db-3w.html :
the "old" Diamond DB-3W now by Terralux as new "MaxStar3", with more overall luminous output and a better centering of the led.

Yeah, very interesting, because I was disapointing by the DB-3W (http://candlepowerforums.com/vb/showthread.php?t=91606&page=3)

But... question about luminous flux:

- On Luxon website, I read about Luxeon III: 65 lumens at 700 mA, 80 lumens at 1000 mA. So, 65 to 80 lumens. And this is only at 25°C! At 90°C (temperature after 5 minutes, as measured by Led Museum about the DB-3W), the relative light output is about 75%... (source: Luxeon datasheet DS46).

- On this page, I read: 80 to 120 lumens.

So, what's wrong?? :huh2:

Is Luxeon datasheet not updated?
Is the new TLE-3 over-boosted?
Is the 80-120 lumens values fantastic? (I don't expect it from Terralux nor Led-Replacement)
Does the TLE-"3W" use a Luxeon V (called "5W" but actually consumes about these 3W...) rather than a Luxon III? So, won't the led burn out after a few hours, because of the bad heat dissipation? And shouldn't the price be very higher?

Did someone make the flux comparaison between the old DB-3W and the new TLE-3W? Is there a significant visual difference?

Thanks!
