Merry Christmas everybody!

Somebody started a Christmas movies thread. Well, being a Filipino (and Kapampangan at that), no other season/festival is as closer to us than this one (unofficially starts in September????) and EATING is a big part of it.

Here's what we had:

Pink Salmon in Lemon butter Sauce
BBQ-ed (sweet n' spicy) chicken and ribs
Arroz Valenciana (sort of like Paella, a rice dish with everything)
Chicken fingers with sesame seeds with mayo-wasabi dip
Noodels in chickenbroth
dessert: Flan and fruits

What did everybody have? How was it? C'mon make our mouths water!

Sounds good!

Neither my wife nor I care for turkey, so we have:

brown sugar ham
chipotle and cheese scalloped potatoes
greenbean casserole
jalepeno cheddar garlic biscuits/scones
sliced apples in a cinnamon sauce
red wine
and pumpkin cheesecake for dessert
:grin2: :buddies: :sleepy:

We had enough turkey on Thanksgiving,so for Christmas the main course will be a Honeybaked Ham,with green beans, biscuits, salad. Since my wife is Korean, Kimchee and rice will also be on the table. Pumpkin pie and coffee will top it all off later.

Christmas dinner is a feast at our house, even if we do nothing else. Great to have a house full of family & friends.

Today's menu:

Sirloin Roast.
Pomegranate glazed ham.
Arugula salad.
Sweet potatoes & yams au Gratin.
Squash roasted with red onions and served with baby spinach & dried cranberries.
Mashed potatoes & garlic.
Apple pie.
Dulce de Leche coffee (carmalized sweetened condensed milk, with coffee, Kahlua, Amaretto, and whipped cream).
and maybe just a little bit of wine...

Merry Christmas to all.

'Eve dinner was beef and chees enchiladas, soft and/or hard tacos, refried beans etc.
Several kinds of pie, brownies, cookies etc. for dessert.

It's been a tradition now for over 10 years for our family.

The Day meal today will of course be leftovers!
