I have had my B42GT for about a month now and every time I compare it's beam to any other light I am certain that the GT option is worth the price. However, it is an upside/downside thing:
Upside - It gives me a standard to compare other lights to.
Downside - I compare my other lights to it.
The GT version of the 42 was only $19.00 more at Batterystation and it came with 20 batteries instead of ten so it was a no brainer. After using it for a month I can say with certainty that my next HDS will be the GT even if does cost an extra 50.
